Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rent supplement backdated?

    I applied for rent supplement at the end of april, i got form back asking for some documentation on the 12th May. After chasing the landlord i've got all the required documentation sent in.

    My question is rent supplement backdated from the day i applied or from the day it's fully processed?

    its backdated to the day you applied, once it is processed you will receive it all

    We had to fight for this; they had made a basic error in making us wait 7 months to get on the housing list as the rules had just changed and we had been renting privately years. They then gave us about half the back money and it took a while longer and a formal complaint to get the rest.

    Knowing the rules is most of the battle; it was Citizen's Info who taught us.
