Anyone in Limerick have a TV Base for a 42 inch HD Tv

i lost mine and my tv on the wall and id like to take it down

i rang philips they want 92 euro for the base :eek:

if anyone has one that i could have id be so grateful for free or if your selling it

The stand you're after isn't available generally and asking for a base for a 42" tv implies you think any base will fit.
It won't, you are after a base for a Philips 42PFL5604H those bases(as explained to you in your other thread) are almost always model specific.
Can I just ask why you didn't take up richersounds.ie offer to you of a base for the Philips 42PFL3606?
Which should fit your current TV and was offered free of charge with just postage to be paid?
I think its your best shot really as apart from paying the 92.50 for a new 1, hoping for someone to have a compatible 1 just lying around and that they are willing to part with is grasping at straws.

EDITJust to add, you can buy VESA compliant LCD stands which mount up to the wall mounting bracket on the TV(But bore common for PC monitors) and and have base unit to allow them to stand, many manufacturers such as Vogels etc. offer solutions like this but for those you are looking at even more expense starting €150+
Also there are AV units stands available with shelving for your AV gear and a pole mounted VESA mount for your TV but again these are expensive.

Try asking on some of the newly established free pages on facebook...I include a link for one below. You will need to be very specific of the tv u need the bracket for as they are all completly different and I can tell u €92 is cheap for one as It cost me €170 for a Jvc one 2 yrs ago...Is the one u need for the philips a glass one?

Aldi have tv brackets and stands this week,starting thursday. I think they're universal,we're hoping to get one for our samsung 42" anyway.

I think the OP is looking for the base part that originally came with the TV, not a wall bracket or stand. OP didn't you ask this question here about 2 or 3 weeks ago?
