Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sorry folks but the reality is if you were good looking to begin with, you'll remain good looking if you look after yourself.

That "getting better looking as you get older" ****e only really applies to people who were easy on the eye in the first place, but is designed to make the not so pretty among us feel better about themselves.

Like bbw or curvy is used as a nicer way of saying "lazy fat arse".

Sucks for some but c'est la vie, if you get hung up on this **** at all then your looks or anyone elses looks are the least of your problems.

Oi! Leo is still a massive big ride

I do think Leo looks better now than he did in his Titanic days. He's doing more serious roles now and is not just a pretty boy. I've started to like Leo ever since his role in the Departed.

everybody gets older,i dont see what the big fuss is,i think there is too much credence given to those with magazine rated looks,if thats how you think and what you work off then you know youre going to be dissapointed.its immature to have such judgement on how someone looks..

He was very good in Blood Diamonds, I think it was. Really brought the role to life, I'd say he'd do well in Indiana Jones type casting.

^Obama looks really old since he became the president...

He's aged yes but id have to disagree that he looks "really old",he looks in great shape for a 50 year old,i dont know any 50 years who look that good! he clearly looks after himself and it shows,he could pass for 10 years younger imo,id be very happy if i was in a similar condition at 50

He was amazing in Body of Lies, Shutter Island and Inception too.
He does serious roles really well.

Agreed, but I think it would require nothing less than a public distancing from his Titanic role if he wanted the kind of respect you think he deserves.

It'll never happen though, that film made him and now he has to live with that pretty boy girl hair teen fluff image for the rest of his days.
Think either of the Twilight fags twenty years down the line trying to be taken seriously in more mature roles. Doesn't matter if they become good actors.
You'll still always be that sparkly little creampuff from that moronic soft porn for teenage girls/creepy oul ones.

Though I'm sure their vast wealth will ease the pain somewhat.

People are always saying that, but I think he does. He seems well regarded to me and has been since his teens.

Would love to see him get an Oscar

Sort of agree with ya - if you're gorgeous you're gorgeous. The girls I knew who were stunning teenagers are breathtaking women now. However I'd say it's the really beautiful who have the toughest time dealing with ageing.
Also, it is true that people who were plain as children/teens can blossom into much better looking people as adults.

I dunno, IMO, the Oscar has zero credibility. Yeah, sometimes deserving people and films win things but more often than not, worthy forgettable fare wins out. Lots of great actors have never been recognised by the Academy, it doesn't really matter.

Fixed your post slightly, growing older naturally for an already good looking person is not a deterioration in my book, as long as they exercise and eat healthily enough.

If anything it's the morons who place such a high value on looks that get hit the hardest. You see them everywhere, middle aged women who haven't seen their original hair or skin colour in decades, dripping in ugly, far too expensive jewellery and ****, far too expensive designer clothes. Stupid, obvious face lifts, botox, the works. Joker make up. My Ma reads VIP magazine and Hello and all that other braindead ****e and the pages are chock full of these women. They look ****ing vile and are fooling nobody but themselves.

Men are just as bad in their own way but I'll leave that dissection to you, which I'm sure you'll enjoy! ;)

In fairness it cant be easy going from men drooling over you all your life to not getting a second glance on a night out, losing your sex appeal is a big thing(unless you never had it in the first place)some women do lose the plot regarding fighting their age but i would have some sympathy for them(unless theyre the kind of muppets who think being good looking means you have the go ahead to be a total dick to everyone else)i dont look forward to the day women pay me no attention(not that theyre falling over themselves now or anything but you know what i mean),who wants to be considered past it?
