Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can a doctor who has had his medical lic. revoked in another country still practice medicine in Ireland?

The Medical Council of Ireland maintains the register of doctors in Ireland, that is the only registration that matters.

As Irish registration is independent of third-country registration, I see no reason why being struck-off in another country automatically leads to disqualification here.

I imagine that the Medical Council would investigate any doctor whom it was aware was struck-off in another country though...

A phone call to the Medical Council could give you a definitive answer.

well, upon applying for the irish medical council there is a question/declaration that the applicant(doctor) hasn't had his/her registration denied by other authority etc.. check medicalcouncil website for details.
