Baldoyle isn't part of the North County Dublin which is what that forum covers from what I can see.

The general rule is - if it is north of the Liffey & it doesn't have a post code then it is OK for Dublin County North. Your post related to an area in D13 so I moved it to the more appropriate forum.

And you can't mention Baldoyle without mentioning the Racecourse if your a certain age.

There's a great book by a local historian who's name escapes me now, sometimes it is for sale in Graingers shop. Ask about it next time you're in there, they might have it or they may give you the info on how to contact him.

If the local FCC Baldoyle Library is anything like the FCC Rush library they might have Michaels Books in the local Heritage section if OP pops in there.

I got a book at the book shop at superquinn called "the light if other days" by michael hurley. Some great photos in it and good history of baldoyle & the surrounding areas. Some great pics of the farms & the racecourse (the horse 1)
