Dangerous pitch lads should forget the result and just stay safe, potential for some injuries way too high

why do we play players who aren't 100% fit?

That dzsudzsak lad is a very good player, haven't seen him play since he left PSV though and don't think he's been great since he left.
So then he used to be good but that's no longer the case

A shíte Eircom service? I'm shocked.

The inclusion of McClean in the squad seems to have fired a rocket up McGeady's arse.

McGeady is looking class whenever he gets the ball.

Haha to be fair I watched a United match on it a few months ago and it was one of the best streams I've ever seen. And it's my mum paying the bills so I've no real choice at the moment.

Lovely bit of defending there by Keane to put McGeady off.

He's really reacted to the competition, great for the team, exactly what we need.

Keane shouldn't try any of the 5star moves.

The ball is going 90 on the ground its so slick out there

There are regular flash thunderstorms in poland too so I think this is a great warm up conditions despite what setanta guys are saying.

Given should wear the black in the finals. It'll make him as good as Lev Yashin.

    Final ball has been poor.

McGeady has been quality all season. Sure the extra competition is good but I wouldn't say it's the main reason for better performances

Great play but the final ball from again let us down...

Loving the Irish performance, showing good imagination in attack.

    Ward is so poor positionally.

  • Registered Users Posts: 541 ✭✭✭DEVEREUX

This is actually good ireland not pricking around too much and going forward

Hungary are very very poor tonight, probably just that they are missing a good few and aren't up for it until they get in good positions in attack. Great warm up team for us though.

Point taken, I haven't seen him playing for Spartak, his performance in the last and this friendly seem to have taken a step forward though. I'd start him ahead of McClean, and maybe have McClean as an impact sub if required.

I don't know why teams can't finish vs Ireland, they've ridden their luck for the past 15 games. Going to struggle big time in the Euros imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭kitakyushu

Dzsudzsák looks like a really good player.

Must be all that holy water Trap is sprinkling on the pitch. :pac:

It's a tactic for our full backs to not be drawn out wide when crosses come in, has been for Traps entire time with us. He prefers the defence to be compact and let the opposition have the ball in wide positions. Ward constantly gets criticised for this when he's only following instructions!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,968 ✭✭✭aindriu80

I cant see much of the game but Hungry don't look like they are the most likely to score, hopefully we can take something away from this game

We're being played off the park in the middle. Hungary players getting on the ball between our central defenders and our central midfielders and causing untold problems.

Only for Shay and Dunne we'd be 2 down at this stage.
