article on intermittent fasting in the weekend section of today's Irish Indo..did you read?

No...I'll check if its online! Gist?

  • Registered Users Posts: 57 ✭✭gymtime

Did you get a look at it? I can't find it online dude but here is a quote from the article's author Dr Michael Mosley (who tried IF himself)

"Intermittent fasting is not something that you will find many doctors recommending because while there is plenty of animal data, so far there is limited evidence of its efficacy in long term human trials. It will not suit everyone, nor is it safe for everyone."

    are u still doing it?

Makes sense. I don't believe it is for everyone. People are different and different things work for people. Me personally, I have made great gains with IF and can indulge in cheat meals (more often than on a regular diet) and keep a low bf %. I've been doing it properly since Marchish and have found no adverse effects yet. I am stronger than I was before too because as a proportion of my bodyweight I am lifting more.

    The experiment continues!

anything to do with IF do you think?

Nah. Its my throat (so not my stomach) + I have big exams next week. Probably just worn out. I think I could have had a relapse from my toothbrush or something. Didn't disinfect it after getting sick. Brush teeth, get same germs.

I have been doing IF since Marchish and didn't get sick at all. I think its just bad luck.
Sadly like most people who work out I am stubborn as hell and always want to get back in the game as quick as possible. I think I won't do anything for a good 7 days this time rather than just 4!

Oh, I wanted to see how much I could clean (coz I am stoopid!) and its 100kgs

    Rested otherwise.

Took this as a comparison pic to the one on the first page as it has been a couple of months. My brother said it would be funny if I looked in the air. (Don't ask me why)

This is me in April, June and now respectively. IF has been working well.
