Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Starting an office job for the summer and the dress code is smart casual, just wondering what peoples opinions are on wearing a tie? Is there a need? Are slacks and a shirt sufficient?

wear the tie the first day to see what other do, if easy goin on ties then go back to shirt and slacks.

I would say no tie, shirt and smart trousers but no harm giving a quick call to somebody in the office and asking them for some guidance!

Smart casual in a business context would more usually mean that a suit is not required but that an odd jacket, shirt and tie should be worn.

    I disagree
Smart or Business Casual in my experience means no tie ,in some companies explicitly no tie (I have seen people asked to remove their tie!)

Slacks and a shirt (no jeans) will be sufficient and as I said earlier have a suitable tie in your jacket pocket and if required stick it on.

Just wore slacks and a shirt and had a tie in the car, I went in and only saw a handful of ties, it definitely leans more to the casual side in the place. Thanks for the input!
