Identify this car for me

Hi guys

I saw an absolutely beautiful car in my home town last Sunday week, but don#t know what make it was/is?

I didn't have a camera with me, and didn't get my phone out quick enough to get a pic.:rolleyes::o

I think it was from either the late 50's or early 60s?? It had a "ZV" or ZX reg plate.

All I can remember of it was, it was a bloody big four door salloon, it had a long bonnet, and a long(ish) boot. IIRC, the back wheels were half covered(which makes me think it was a Citroen). The front grill on it was quite big(long) too. I think it had 4 headlights on the front(can't really remember?)

Nope. The body on it was full of curves. It had a round(curved)roof on it too. Could it have been a Jaguar?

Could have been a Jaguar 420G/ MArk 10... like the 420 pictured but bigger!!

IIRC, the colour was grey, and i think(!)it had blue wings over the wheels.....? I'm trying to recall from memory.......really should've gotten a pic.

I think this is her?? I was up in a friend's house earlier, and he used to collect model cars/car cards in cigarette packages, and he had a frame with a load of these cards in it, and this was one of em.

That's an unusual piece of metal for these shores, maybe it was something more common like a vauxhall velox, they look a bit like that and some of them had rear wheel spats

That doesn't really have a boot, has 2 headlights and is pre-WWII!!:)
