Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Barnardos is trying to contact the owner of curtains dropped into its charity shop in Rathmines, Dublin last week which was found to contain a large wad of cash in the lining.

    Barnardos says the money was pinned inside the lining of the curtains. The curtains had been left into the shop on Lower Rathmines road by a lady at around 1.30 last Wednesday, May 30th.

    Barnardos say it’s possible the woman didn't even know the cash was inside the curtain

    I was listening to this on the radio this morning.

    You can see how it could happen so easily. Apparently all of the money was in one little plastic bag, stitched into the lining of the curtain! Probably some wee granny, saving it for a rainy day.

    In a way, it would be nice if the money went to a childrens charity, if it wasn't claimed.

    And sure, maybe, that's how it was intended anyways!

    I keep my money in my bra...embarrassing when paying for things and you forget to take it out before you get to the till.

    When I take my bra off I put my money under my pillow.

    I should probably just start using a wallet or purse.
