Cottage garden style & Colour scheme

Hello all

hope you are all well,


Well we have a cottage garden and would love to get your opinion.

Well the problem is , we cannot decide what colour to paint the fence.

the theme of the garden at the moment is kinda french/fleur de lis/cottage garden

The problem is this , either we paint it white, the colour of the cottage, or stain it brown.

Im hoping you can come up with a colourful paint scheme to include the garden furnature and fence, which all can be painted

I was thinking of choosing a nice coastal/maritime/french colour. something that would be pleasant to look at, but also eye catching.

Maybe it's a phsycoclogical thing but I find colours on fences doesn't seem to work here at all.
White would be the most traditional for a cottage garden but it may turn out to be high maintenance. This is where the brown stain would last better.

Theres a few gardens here in this thread with wood painted various coloirs.
