Usually, battle rappers are **** on tracks and this has especially been true in the last 10 years for the good ones.
Just think of people like The Sauras, Okwerds, Illmaculate, Lush One, The Entire Don't Flop League (minus Tenchoo) and you get the idea, they can write bars but they are just **** on tracks.

    Well, there are exceptions.

The biggest exception thus far bening Brown Bag Allstar's Soul Khan.

This short, nerdy Californian jewish kid transplanted to NYC to work in Fat Beat Records and went on to dominate the Battle Rap scene, from Don't flop to KOTD to URL and Grind Time, Khan was a giant killer, quickly becoming the most feared MC in the scene.
He made a **** ton of money doing it too.

Then he stopped, despite offers of 50k+ for events he retired from battling to focus on his Music career and when you listen to his back catalog, it makes sense.

Soul Khan is one of the stand out's in the New York underground scene right now, as part of the much heralded Brown Bag Allstar's collective he has been getting love from people from Primo to Royce Da 5'9.

As part of his steady stream of internet releases over the last few years Soul Khan has released a series of tracks called "Soulstice" this is the fourth.

You can download it for free here, from the nice people at 2dopeboys.com.

    Enjoy.
