- Power supply should be something half decent, definitely no chinese crap.
- Case as cheap as possible...
- Monitor & Keyboard doesn't matter.

No keyboard (because it would be german in layout) and no OS. Bump the CPU up to an i5-2400 if you want a quad core. GPU is GDDR3 but that doesn't really matter for the lower level stuff. Get 6770 if you want a bit more power.

Looks good, but would AMD be any better at a lower price? For the price of the Dual Core i3 you can buy a Quad Core FX 4100...

Quad-core doesn't mean it's better. Have a look at some gaming benchies:

The i3 is also more power friendly with a 65 watt TDP. The biggest bonus, though, is the fact you can upgrade to an i5 3570k down the line.
