Hi guys, I have 4 sets of ceiling speakers in my house. I want to hook them up now but am on a budget. Will the cambridge am1 do the job? I would like to link a dock to it with a Bluetooth dongle do that I can use it wirelessly. Any idea if this will work? http://wap.ebay.ie/Pages/ViewItem.aspx?emvAD=320x356&emvcc=0&nborh=&nbpr=2&ebayref=http://cgi.ebay.ie:80/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160802654460&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:IE:1123&autoredirect=off

    Thanks a million

    Rodred,

many thanks for the post and apologies for the delay getting back to you..

if you are trying to run 4 pairs (8 speakers) I think that the AM1 would not really be your best option (maybe not quite powerful enough..)

I can't get through on that link - but bluetooth is a great option - what sources are you using?? CD/ Andriod / Apple?? if you can come back I'll give you some suggestions..

On the amplifier front I would recommend one of the Teac models - on a Budget - the AG790 which retails at £139.95 ( this has two separate sets of speaker outs - and A + B speaker switching and includes a built in tuner) - or even better if you can stretch to it the Teac AG980 which is really the right unit to use as it includes outputs for 4 sets of speakers, you can use two separate sources at the same time in different areas and its powerful enough to run 8 speakers at the same time... It retails at £249.95 and really is the correct unit to use!

Keep me posted on the source / Bluetooth side of things and I'll revert with suggestions, keeping it as tight as possible..

    Thanks again,
