Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

I moved to Kilcoole, co wicklow for almost 3 years. First 2 years I used Eircom 2mb Broadband, but the download limit is 30GB which is not enough for me to go online watch movie everyday. Therefore i moved onto Imagine Wimax last year in May as they promised they can offer UNLIMITED usage. However, Wimax is not good as I think, the broadband speed never stable (i applied 3gb but sometimes only less than 1gb) and the unlimited usage is a big cheating!

Therefore, i want to moving out from wimax and looking for a best broadband provider. Can anyone suggest a good one? i know UPC is an option, but UPC broadband service is not covered in Kilcoole area. How do you think Smart Telecom? or shall i moving back to Eircom?

sorry, i am not an Irish, my English is not good enough, hope you can enjoy understand what I said.

    Thank you so so much!

    Lucy

Sorry Lucy but I have been using Imagine for about 6 years now, since it was Irish Broadband, and never had any problems with it. I’m a SW engineer and keep a good eye on my connection, especially because I use it also for work related business and it never went down from 2.5Mb, I’m on 3Mb plan. The average speed is 2.7 to 2.9Mb.

Also I don’t understand when you say that their unlimited usage is a “bit cheating”. I’m a very have user and never had my connection under any cap or received any extra bill.

However I’m in Bray and maybe the connection from Kilcoole has some problems, maybe you should give the technical support a call and see if they can help you with this.

You can pay an extra €5 a month with Eircom for unlimited download although there is a fair usage policy of 600gb a month i think nothing seems to be truly unlimited.
