Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Not to hijack another tread but reading throught the jobs tread most of us( over a certain age) started work at between 11 14 small money long hours
    If that happened today there would be uproar
    Did it do us any harm nothing like earning your own money

    I had summer jobs since I was 12, it got me out of the house, I made friends, and it taught me the value of money. It was nice to be able to buy stuff without having to justify it to my parents!

    I think it's a pity there aren't more summer/part time jobs available to young people.

    Hated all my old Summer jobs. Ruined your holiday, longer hours than school, payed an absolute pittance, worked like a dog, got the piss constanly taken out of you by older/full time workers.:( You were almost glad to get back to school.
