Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

*I couldn't find the right section for this, so feel free to move it to where it should go and if you need to change the title feel free to do so , thanks *

I'm pay as you go with Meteor, and got a basic boring phone.

I want an iPhone, I want to go bill pay. What network is offering the best/cheapest deal at the moment in your opinion?

I don't mind a contract, but I don't want to pay for the iPhone, unless someone is selling iPhones cheap that I can just use as meteor pay as you go.Fed up of having a derpy phone! Thanks-

    Galway -> Apple

There was a thread from 6 months ago or so about this, it compared the various deals.
But that was 6 months ago.
Also do you need an 4s or will a 4 do?

Did you check the usual suspects? They seem pretty similar.

Edit, you can also see how much a unlocked iphone on adverts.ie is and choose any provider you want.

I got a 16 gig 4s for free on three. Costs me about 40 - 50 bucks a month and I get a generous enough package and frig loads of data.

I'd probably recommend buying it in Carphone Warehouse as their insurance is good and they're pretty much in every town in Ireland. Good if you're travelling elsewhere in the country and there is a problem with your phone.

RHG, is that for 12 or 24 months?
The first year it will cost you aprox 540? (€45*12months, free phone)

I have an unlocked 4 that I got on adverts for 350 and I pay 20/month (three, free data).
For me the cost for the first year is thus 590 (€20*12months, €350 phone)
    Quite similar cost.

But over 2 years contract it will cost you aprox 1080? (€45*24months, free phone) and my cost for the same duration will be 830 (€20*24months, €350 phone). The lower monthly payment starts to show.
Just something to ponder Vega if you plan to use the phone many years.
Also of course RHG has a 4s but I just jailbroke mine and installed Siri on it. Still 4s has more things going for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vKjP2-xM_8

Depends greatly on your usage though. When I was on 02 bill pay with 350 mins 150 texts and 2gb data my bill was always over 100 a month and that was trying to use the phone as little as possible. I think the 16gb iPhone 4 cost 199 on that plan

I'm with eMobile about a year now and I got a 32gb iPhone 4 off them for free and the bill is 84 a month but I get unlimited calls unlimited texts and 15gb data a month. The FUP is 45000 mins and 10000 texts
