I always thought you can't be taxed on tax, but Robert's electricity bill seems to be breaking all the rules! How can they charge VAT on a levy? Makes no sense to me as an economics student. It was awfully phrased.

    Anyway did people get:
    Q.1(b)

    (i) €109.65
    (ii)€158.90

    I don't remember exactly but I do think I got that..yay!:D

It was the only difficult question on the paper due to the fact it wasn't worded right, or that's what it felt to me. But nope, your answers look better than mine. ^__^

For 4 a I ended up drawing an argand diagram just to show that I know how to do one. Lawds

They asked you to draw one!

Messed up series part c, annoyed usually get 50 or close to it with them, I suppose I'll get a least 5/20 for attempts.

All in all wasn't too bad.

You'll get most marks if you have right method.

Thought the paper had a good few questions in it that don't ever usually come up, I studied differentiation religiously for the past while and got a grasp of it but there wasnt even a first principles question on that paper, something that were told comes up on all the papers, after English and maths I'm starting to think their really pushing this unpredictability, not complaining obviously the stuff that comes up is on the course but unfortunate it's our year I guess

Am I the only one who thought paper one was horrible??
Is it because they want to make project maths look good they made the norm one harder??

    * Okay, I'm in no way suggesting that all these are correct. But I would hope most of them are!

How did you take pictures in the exam?

I wrote the answers into my exam paper and brought the paper home with me. I took them just a few minutes ago.

It's weird because all of the stuff on that paper there is what we learn in my school (pilot school) and it looks do-able. Then what we got in the Project Maths paper 1 was like a completely different subject. I don't think most of it was in our book.

    subz3r0 how did you get 5 and a half for 3. (a)?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,298 ✭✭✭Namlub

A lot of our answers are the same (apart from 4 c), hopefully that's a good sign :)

Yeah sorry realised that after, we write on ours and give up the paper that's why I got confused :P

Just realised I got my argand diagram q wrong by mixing up the signs! I wrote 2 - 3i as my answer :( Would I get any kind of attempt marks for that and for marking that on the graph?
