Storing potatoes

    How long would potatoes stay good for if they are stored in hessian bags? I read something somewhere which recommended this, is that the best way to store the potatoes once they are harvested?

    Storage time depends on the variety too, early season varieties are pretty bad at storing for long, main and late season varieties store well.
