Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need some advice or recommendations please ladies, Im posting the request as my partner didnt think it would help, but I hope it will!

We have an event coming up and my other half cant find anything to wear. She's a young looking 40, tall at 5'10 in bare feet and size 18 and although she doesnt look anything like fat, she does have a few more pounds on than she used to (as do I!) and shes not happy with it which makes shopping understandably a bit of a drag.

Anyway, she's been around a few of the usual suspects selling frocks, Arnotts, Debenhams, Coast, Monsoon and some others that I dont know and although shes seen some nice ones (greens and blues mainly) they havent quite fitted or arent sold up to a comfortable size 18

So, what Im looking for is recommendations of shops, large or small, anywhere in or near Dublin, selling elegant block coloured dresses of the sort you'd wear to a wedding that go up to size 18/20

Any tips appreciated, youd be helping to put a smile on the face of my beautiful but slightly fed up lady! Thank you

Moved from The Ladies Lounge to Fashion and Appearance.

You'll probably find better advice here, OP

Try Hourglass in the Powerscourt Centre, Sth William Street. They are specialist plus size https://www.facebook.com/HourglassPowerscourt . I've not been in it myself, but from their FB stock photos it the clothes look to be made for a bigger figure, rather than just bigger sizes of standard clothes, does that make sense?

Hope she gets something fabulous anyway! Let us know how you get on!

I gave up on going into shops, it's draining and often a waste of time,
the last two formal dresses I got I ordered them online from littlewoods.
You can search site by size and the deliver is very prompt.
