Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it a prerequisite for Greek goalkeeper to have grey hair?

The greek left back is in for a gruelling today. Those through balls are killing him

Holebas was having a nightmare against Poland too. Maybe he's just not very good.

Holebas is getting no protection whatsoever so the RB's are going forward to great effect.

The czechs haven't got at him really since the first ten minutes, should be trying to get down his wing a bit more.

Nice kick in the head there for Karagounis. Not going to be Greece's day I guess.

This game has a red card in it I reckon.

The ref doesn't shy away from the yellows anyways.

Already kicked off big time in Warsaw, between Russians and Polish fans...

Smart move to let the Russians march through the town.

Was always going to be a flash point, I'd say there'll be chaos before during an after the game

Big let off for the Czechs.

It's the Russian national holiday, and the Russian fans decided it would be nice to take a stroll towards the stadium.

Of course they never dreamed of provoking Polish fans ;)

Greece have been on the end of some harsh officiating in their games. Country can't catch a break.

Putin, apparently, asked for as many Russians as possible to go there :D

Does anyone else think the offside judgements have very ridiculously tight throughout this tournament so far? I can't decide if the linesmen have super eyesight, being very lucky or are wrong half the time. When your forearm is the only part "offside" its not really offside is it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 288 ✭✭Thefirestarter

    Ah no:(

Amazing analysis of the advantages of being two goals up instead of 1 from Kerr there.

    What a howler by Cech

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,584 ✭✭✭Rekop dog

Cech consistently sucks for the Czechs.

I'm wondering does the two extra officials mean the 'linesmen' (sorry I'll always call them that) can concentrate more on actually watching the line now and less on spotting fouls etc.

This could be a Czech collapse, hopefully not.

Very little to offer upfront with Baros.

Dire goalkeeping. Hope the czech republic don't self implode now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,992 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I think the defender had a part to play in that in fairness. He should be jumping out of the way but is just moping around there. Not exonerating Cech at all just that the defender didn't help.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Cech clearly needs JT in front of him.

Greece needing a Czech to save them :pac:

The standard of referring has been from one extreme to another at the Euros. quite a few have been really bad, and then there was Victor Kassai who was excellent.

The standard of goalkeeping has been terrible in Group A so far.
