Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Didn't take long for the refs to start ruining things.

How much money did the polish president pay the ref?

Anyone else think the fix is in? Some of the decisions have been very strange to say the least.

Roberto Martinez having a shocker with the whistle.

Poland will make the final if we can expect this kind of reffing in all their games.

Samaras is having a quiet game by his standards. I was expecting great things from him after his performance for the Soccer Aid team last week.

(BTW, that is one of the worst two-yellow red cards I've ever seen. I hope the ref was well paid for it.)

I think that this ref should be subbed at half time, he has rodgered Greece.

    With no lube.

I hope the referee was alert during the coin toss, the Greek captain might have stolen it. #Euro2012

Sent off 16 players in 19 games :D

That was a penalty there alright..

In fairness, Greece weren't good enough with 11 men on the pitch to be claiming any bias..

Just had a look at the refs stats for the last two years.

All I can say is jesus!

Ah here, there was nothing in the second yellow, he had to put his arms on the Polish player as he fell into him.

Not the point, it shouldn't have been a red card. They weren't good enough in the first half yes but 11 out of Greece's 14 goals in qualification came in the second half, always upped the same in the second half. 10 v 12 now is going to be very difficult.

    Dear Greece,

we cannot afford any sick days and time off to watch football. Accordingly we have decided to end your tournament now.

The only thing in the ref favour giving that yellow is the fact he was last man on a dangerous counter for Poland. But the first decision was pathetic. It was a clean header FFS:rolleyes:

That sending off was a terrible decision, player was on his way down. Tough on Greece.

Spains top rated ref apparently, but looking at the card stats for La Liga I'm not sure that's any sort of recommendation.

I remember sitting confused for about 10 minutes having watched a player get a yellow card for a tackle where no contact was made with either player or ball during one La Liga game.

Made for a nice final 40 minutes I reckon. I felt slightly sorry for Greece having been on the end of a few dodgy refereeing decisions in the first half, good on them for getting the goal back, Salpi was nice and awake for it. I still think the Polish have more quality in the team in comparison, but I won't be surprised to see the Greeks graft this through to the end.
