Doubling up with ten litre kits

    Hi folks,
    So I'm interested in making a Trappist ale, using a kit that only is good for ten litres. What's the story with making twice as much - Can I just buy two kits and throw in twice as much sugar and yeast?
    Any downside here that I can't see?
    Or do ye know why they make kits that will produce smaller amounts of beer?

    And I've got three brews under my belt now with no infection surprises, so I'm confident enough in my method.

    Doubling up is all good, and keep the proportions of other ingredients exact.

    Adding only more fermentables ... not a good option.
