Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Picking up a question hyperborean asked in the Mick Wallace thread - "
As an aside, when he gets forced out who is front runner for the seat in his constituancy? "

Assuming he does get kicked out, what's happening in Wexford politics...

    Well let's see.

Its doubtful Wexford voters will vote for another indy-ULA person
Its doubtful, although "the force is strong" with Labour in Wexford a Lab candidate would fair well in current political climate.
Same might be said for a FG candidate...

So that leaves SF or FF. So Lisa (McDonald) Simpson or Sean Connick for FF. And I dont know who for SF...

See will that get the ball rolling, your thoughts p[lease

FG have always been strong in Wexford. Would expect them to top the poll. At that stage it would come down to whether they have a high enough first preference and enough transfers to take the seat.

If he is forced to resign, the people of Wexford will elect one of his relatives. Or in-laws. Or his pet goat perhaps.

Sean Connick has remained active within the community in Wexford, so I would imagine that he sees himself as a future candidate.
