Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm heading to Grenoble in the south of France, leaving on the 9th July.

Ive given myself 10 days to get there. No hurry its a holiday after all.

The only thing I have left to do is plan a rough route.

Anyone have any suggested must ride routes. I want to have a decent amount of time near the sea so don't want to go too far east on the way.

I've given myself 2-3 days on the way back so that will be central and east stuff.

Grenoble is in motorcycling paradise but obviously you have to cross the country and leave the coast whatever route you opt for.

For route planning: Get a Michelin map, find the twisties with the green border-line indicating scenic route.

In the alps look for the cols i.e mountain passes

Coastline and beaches: You don't say which port you arrive. Brittany's coast is stunning but the opposite end of the country. Normandy - great beaches, and WW2 history. All along the west coast more beaches than you can shake a baguette at.

Routes in the east: These two spring to mind: Route des Cretes in the Vosges area, Route des Grandes Alps, (Provence/Haute ALps).

    Bonne route
