Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tonight's first episode could have been funnier, but it's only the start!! They should stick to the panel, like this classic. The last line in this one is brilliant!!

Thought the sketch tonight was pretty crap. Sticking to the panel format is probably the way to go alright.

Not sure if you are serious but i'll bite.

This is Apres Match from the 2010 WC... as in after Staunton was manager.

    They are taking the piss.

Will Apres Match be up on RTE player separately from the matches?

I thought last nights edition worked well on a physical comedy level. The demented facial looks, particularly on the keyboard player, gave me a good laugh.

Can and will do better, however.

I thought last nights sketch was great, I cracked up laughing at it.

    Not even remotely funny.

I remember their first clip in 2010 was the same - some crappy song.

The crystal swing sketch had me in stitches last night - I thought it was deadly!

I thought it was very funny. You'll get it on the RTÉ site, Euro 2012 section and then watch and listen. I assume they'll all be be there as we go along.

Didn't really like tonight's one and "The Jack Charlton" was very predictable.

They need to get back to speaking and their impressions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,583 ✭✭✭Suryavarman

The Jack Charlton was somewhat amusing.

It's crap if you don't get it. It's a slag off of the rugby ads where they bump into a guy holding a drink. "The knock on". Or another one where a lad nicks a drink. " The interception" etc.

Ofcourse when you have to explain a joke, its not that good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Ha! I'm so doing the Jack Charlton next time I'm in the pub!!

Don't get me wrong, I got the joke thanks, just thought it would be new material, saw that clip on YouTube yesterday so was expecting something new/unseen

Thought it was pretty good. I wasn't expecting the Staunton, thought it'd be the Spain...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,948 ✭✭✭Banjaxed82

The editor fu*ked up. Thought it was kind of funny but the comic timing was all wrong. The captions should have come up before each sketch not after.

Ah here, we still have another 3 weeks. Wait till after that to comment on whether or not they've lost it.
