Finished the 3 year course last year in CIT..

It was great! There is a lot of hands on stuff through out the 3 years, workshops, labs, etc.

But you need to put the effort in with maths, mechanics and thermo also.

Autocad and Inventor are lovely modules.

I have since got a contract in a large well known company in Little Island as an Engineer but have decided to go back in September to CIT and do the add on of Plant and Process Engineering again.

PM me if you need any extra info :)

About 100 in the year, divided into A B C and D, 25 to each. A and B are grouped together and C and D are grouped together. You'll have little or no contact with the other group so it'll be just the two classes you'll get to see really.

6 modules before Christmas, 6 after, all worth equal credits/percentages of the year.

    1st Semester
Introduction to CAD (Using Autodesk AutoCAD)
    Welding
    Mechanics (physics)
    Materials & Processes
CIT module (a very basic project and some reports)
    Can't remember the 6th module.

    2nd Semester
    Thermofluids (physics)
    Technological maths
    Metal workshop
ICT (IT for engineers, (very, very basic!) using Word, Excel etc)
Engineering design (Autodesk Inventor 3d design)
Elective module (didn't get a choice this year, so it was introduction to Auto Engines, interesting class, basic content)
