Wow everyone has different answers! None were very clear on the paper tbh... anyone care to justify their answer? (i cant remember what the choices even were)

    I said C as well.

Didn't get the last two parts of the trig question and I thought it was a bit weird that they incorporated enlargements but other than that it fine I thought, way more straightforward than paper 1

what about for getting the centre point of circle c2? did ye just add the radius to point p?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 153 ✭✭Raeone

for simpsons rule i was in a rush and i took h = 5 (people say its meant to be 20 here :/ )
So i got... A=5/3{F+L+4(evens)+2(odds)} and i did that for the top and bottom half and got rougly 168 cm squared..

Anyone kno how many marks would be lost here?

Also, can anyone tell me how many marks were in the area/volume section? was it 50? im just curious and the papers arent online yet, thanks.

I would guess at the most three marks.

Two cards are drawn from a pack of 52 cards . find the probability that neither
of them is a club or a picture card .

The probability NOT to get a club or picture was 30/52 than for the next one was 29/52 so i just wrote 29.5/52 .... Im not sure if its write.... ( supervisor gave me a spare paper :D )

Actuly thats what i did but its 30/52 x 29/51 (yes its fifty one because you've one less card overall to choose from) so that is = 0.328 ... Did anyone get that?
That's the correct answer, I got 0.328 aswell and I'm 100% sure... :-). Also the paper was nice but was very time consuming.

I think I put down A or E for that question about the petrol. I can't remember which one.

I said A, it was a very stupid question, with a lot of the answers being subjective. It's maths, nothing should be subjective.

B said the diesel cars had steadily increased over the 6 years!

They decreased two of the years though.
