Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where to get a leather jacket retailored?

I have a varsity jacket that I love to wear; so much that the leather sleeves have worn through at the elbows and it now looks shabby. I'd like to get it repaired which would mean I'd have to get new leather (preferably in the same colour, an off-white) and then get the sleeves restitched.

First of all, is there any store in Dublin where I can buy good quality leather? and secondly, is there any tailor/alterations place that is good with leather?

I'm afraid that you will never be able to colour match fabric, leather or other material for repairs.

If it is real leather then a furrier should be able to do it for you no problem. Two well-known ones in Dublin are Barnardo's and Sydney Vard, make sure to ring in advance as I do not know if they do repairs themselves. Some alterations tailors may do leathers as well.
