Make damp proof course for old brick wall

I have an old wall at the rear of house, 8ft long ,can i use engineering bricks to make dpc ,as theres no dpc there .
Theres water getting in as the plaster on it is breaking off, its 70 years old brick.on the inside ,theres no plaster ,or insulation at all on the inside of the wall.
could i put in a dpc plastic ,by taking out 5 bricks at a time,ie put in 4 pieces of dpc,and overlap ,and join them .
I could put waterproof sealant on bricks ,top and bottom.

When you remove these bricks, will you be supporting the ones above?

YES ,ill put in a steel support to hold up the bricks above.About 3ft in from start of wall,,theres a window ,about 4ft from ground level.i,ll put in bricks,
new bricks, at least 2bricks, height from ground,
ie 3rd brick level up, would be new engineering bricks.
outside plaster is cracked,theres obviously water getting in,plaster has 3 holes ,inch at ground level.ill have to remove the old plaster first before i do anything else.
i can see 1 piece of wood behind plaster 4inch in height ,it looks ,rotten,not painted at all,
about 4ft long.
wood is about 5ft above ground.

A specialist company would drill the wall and fill it with liquid DPC.

this wall is 1 set of small bricks ,solid ,its not cavity block wall.
