I'd prefer Ireland not to qualify by playing like this but to develop some good youth players/actually try and pass the ball/be more than one-dimensional/etc. If they could qualify doing that, even better. I suppose the 2016 will allow them to do more of that during the qualifying campaign.

Not qualifying doesn't equal developing young players that can pass.

2 penalty shouts for us. Robbie Keanes was a stonewaller. Trap bringing on the lads 5 mins into second half is bizarre. why not change at half time? we mightnt be 3-1 down at this stage.
McGeady is the most overrated player ive ever seen play for us. his cross for the goal might have been pinpoint but overall Cox has shown him up to have little impact to the side for all his showponying.

there were two players in front of him i think. the only way he wouldve had a better view is if he was sitting on top of the crossbar but you can believe what you like.

why the fcuk isnt long being brought on. at least his pace and directness might cause croatia some problems.
