Yes, you're right - we qualified. But qualifying is no use when you get to the actual competition and fail to perform. I'm 100% behind the team and I don't doubt anybody criticising the performance in the first half is the same as I. We're simply frustrated. This is not the type of performance we can deliver and should be delivering now, when it counts.

If we carry on in the same vein with the same mistakes and the same tactics, we're going to lose this match.

Lads we can't be getting on to the likes of keane, Doyle and even our wide players. The ball is being hoofed up anytime we get it, the Croats are clearly comfortable on it something we clearly arnt .

We need descions to go our way and get a bit of luck to have anychance in this competion because this long ball stuff is killing us so far. I belive Set pieces are our biggest asset too , can't see us scoring in open play without the aid of one but who knows !

Game still there for the taking really. Croatia are heavily reliant on Modric to make things happen it appears. Also they are soft at the back it must be said, they look shakey any time Ireland take any kind of initiative and go forward. I don't know what to make of the 2nd goal, I can't tell if it came off the Croatian lad in the box but we can't keep feeling sorry for ourselves as you make your own luck. Hard to see Ireland coming back as they are so limited going forward but it will only take 1 goal to get a point from this and that wouldn't be the end of the world by any means. We're certainly not being outclassed so there will be something in this game for us, we looked good at a goal down but then went asleep ......time will tell I suppose.

Very tough to get back into this. We need to be more aggressive but the midfield is being completely over run as it is.

We could leave ourselves extremely exposed.

Our problem is lack of movement, when one of our players has the ball we just stand still. Nobody is making the effort to make an angle for a pass. This is particularly obvious when our defenders have the ball, they're forced to hoof it. Need to relax on the ball. If we play like this against Spain we will be torn apart.

Having said that we're not out of this game, I haven't been too impressed with the Croatia so far. What worries me is we conceded the kind of goals that we don't normally concede...very sloppy indeed.

Personally the only change I'd like to see is Kelly coming in for either Andrews or Whelan and JOS pushed into midfield. We need somebody to shut down Modric I think and imo O'Shea can do that.
