Found out today in work that my contract isn't being renewed.
Have a month left. Knew it was coming but was sprung on me without warning today-got a bit of a shock. Gotta think positively and believe that i'll get another one soon. Though for tonight I'm allowing myself to wallow!
Have to go to my sister's friends wedding tomorrow and be all happy and social when all I want to do is get away for a while. I'd like to head to Galway for the VOR but I don't know if I can, If I have time or if I have enough money!
Just feel a bit crappy and confused at the minute0 -

Try heat packs if you can, the thermacare ones are the business I've a knackered hip and knee and those get me through the day
You'll either be heat or cold relieved, but not both, cold sends me into days of agony

I'd a great day today, surprised how good it was

there was a fox wandering around outside my driveway when i was pulling out to drive home. a fox! wandering around looking confused. poor thing i drove slowly to encourage him off the road and he hopped into someone's garden
If you have any pets bluewolf, keep an eye on them over the next while. There was a fox hanging around our house around Christmas and both dogs ended up with a really nasty rash, the vet asked was there a fox in the area as soon as he saw it. Poor Henry was miserable, his chest was all red and blotchy (his chest has a white patch on it so you could really see the rawness of it) and his front legs were destroyed too Thankfully it was cleared up by some drops from the vet and an antibiotic. The vet said that fox droppings and the residue their wee leaves on grass, tress etc. is very damaging to domesticated animals. 0 -

oh, this was in dublin, our munchkins are only at mum's house here in meath
but yeah, dogs would have been the first thing I would think of0 -

Thanks guys. Its a veterinary science lab. Loved working there and I'm really gonna miss the place (and everyone I work with!). Not looking forward to the job hunt but fingers crossed it doesn't take too long!!0 -

I've been headhunted, I'm fairly underpaid in my current role and had an interview today which went very well, loved the guy who interviewed me, want to work in the area, know I will thrive in it, have loads of options if it doesn't work out, will earn twice what I do now.
I don't know to proceed out of loyalty to me and development of me, compared to how bad I will feel leaving my current employer. I love my current job and what I do, just hate the company but adore my boss.

Just got back from the dentist. It's not good news. My gums have an infection that needs medicated mouthwash to treat and I've to get two back teeth out- both on my right side, one on the bottom and one on the top. Also have to somehow or other russle up €75 for a much needed cleaning. Fortunately, I didn't get Dr. Josef Mengales- the dentist was patient and understanding with me but a little heavy handed with that little ice-pick shaped thingumabob whilst poking around inside my mouth. My gums are a little sore but it's nothing to write home about. Even so, I'm not looking forward to the extractions. I'm a nervous patient at the best of times and the sound of dental drills makes me hyperventilate. Still, I really hope they let me keep the extracted teeth this time. I want to see the little buggers that have been plaging me with pain!
You'll be SOUND! Honestly, my little monkey had 4 teeth removed, with a local anaesthetic, and the roots were 1.5 inches long. Even the dentist was shocked. If he can do it, you can. He has quite severe sensory issues, and with a patient and understanding dentist, it was done over 2 separate days, without general anaesthetic:D He also got his adult teeth coated, to protect them:)Stench Blossoms wrote: »Why?

I got my gall bladder, with 90-something stones removed a few years ago. Remember a few days ago when I said I had realised I had a good bit of extra money? Car just broke down on the motorway, had to get it towed, two mechanics said timing belt and/or engine problem My poor baby car. This also means I'm 2 hours behind on work and have to take boyfriend's giant lump of a car to work tomorrow, not fun.
Once the timing belt didn't go a speed, you *should* be ok x

I got passport photos taken and put them in a book for safe keeping. A month or so later I had my passport application form all filled out and found myself standing in front of my floor-ceiling bookcase with no idea which of the couple of hundred books they were in.I do usually have 100 quid stashed someplace in my room, emergency monies.
except the time I forgot what dvd cover I put it into, there were a lot of them :pac:
I pay bills with direct debit and buy online occasionally but that's it. Cash all the way for me. If I need to save up a couple of hundred quid for something I'd put a €20 note a week into an envelope in a drawer until I have enough!Jesus ye make it sound like dealing in cash and in person is the equivalent to paying for something with a few chickens. He has no commute and we live near everything so a couple of minutes going into the bank once a month isn't a big deal.
No better incentive for washing and flossing regularly than the thought of dentist's visits! :eek:Just used my brand new electric tooth brush. It's louder than a pneumatic drill but it gets the job done. My teeth are squeeky clean!
