Lads, I'm dying here. I've been refreshing the results page like a maniac for 16 minutes now and still no sign. I'm too impatient and nervy for this!

Go out for a walk or make a cup of tea or something. A watched results page never.... um.... boils?

I know the feeling. I didn't open my results for aaaaages this morning! I just sat there, replaying the exams in my mind, thinking of where I could've lost marks and if I had lost those marks, what percentage would that leave me with etc. Like a crazy woman essentially! :pac: Hope yours are up soon and that you're happy with them :)

Just wanted to update you all about my eyes. I was seen straight away on Monday morning, both of my eyes are inflamed inside and extremely dry so I was prescribed two types of drops to be used 6 times per day for two months. Then I have to go back in August for two types of scans on the grey splodge behind my left eye. The optomologist didn't seem too concerned about either problem so that was reassuring.. I think.

Just booked flights to go see my friend in Spain next week!

It's the one he served Tea to Moriarty with. I had been ga-ga about it and my husband got it for me for my birthday. :)

Ah ha! Elementary my dear DK. I loved that adaptation, miss it now as there is so much crap on tv. Have to start Breaking Bad or go back to Mad Men as am way behind. Good on your husband! Did you have to drop massive hints such as emailing him the link or did he do it all on his ownio?!:P

    I enjoy this :D

I was also thinking of the following:

    - Tag him in a Facebook status... He checks it every few weeks so I figure by the time he sees it I'll have moved out

    - Organise house viewings when he's not around, move the person in and let him figure it out for himself

    - Write him a letter, á la Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother:

Still nothing -.- I thought when I left the laptop for more than twenty minutes that they'd have to be up by the time I got back, no such luck!

It's funny how results time makes you relive the exams themselves, isn't it? :pac: As if once wasn't bad enough...Delighted to hear you were happy with your results, proud of you :)

Come onnnnnnn, exams office, put me out of my misery!

Went shopping and ended up in Coast trying on dresses for my sister's wedding. All the size 10s were TOO BIG! Haven't been an 8 since I was a teenager. Didn't buy anything though quite liked these three... should I go back??

No he got there on his own. Perfect human being.

TV? Game of Thrones? (Or you could go for more Moffat with Doctor Who...)

Why do candle wicks smell so rotten? My bedroom smells gross now after blowing them out :(

This is the wax smoke you're talking about? Wet your finger and touch the wick after blowing out. That'll cool it enough so the smell stops.

turn the shower on, its a surefire way to make delivery men appear

Or if you have a newborn, try breastfeeding. Soon as you've got your tits out for the baby the doorbell will ring. Guaranteed to be the Postman/ Courier/ Airtricity/ Assorted cults, just as baby is going nuts for a feed.

Same way as waiting for a bus, light a cigarette. Your last one. Even if you dont smoke. And the bus will be along before you have 3 pulls on it. It used to work for thumbing a lift too. Showing my age there now :D

SuzieQ: think you are spoiled for choice there!

I like all three.:) Blue suits your colouring, I love the style of the purple and the last one shows off your lovely figure. I was at a wedding recently where a couple of women changed after the meal into a new outfit, and you might need one if they do "the cure" day (session on the day after the wedding) so if you cant decide...;)

    Dearest housemate,

At first I was afraid I was petrified when I moved in. I kept thinking I could never live without my usual comforts I had at home.
But I then spent so many nights thinking about how you kept hoarding all the feckin' cups... but I grew stronger and bought my own cup and we then began to get along.

But now you're back from the kitchen. I walked in to find you with my cup against your face.
How did you get into my press, I should have changed that stupid lock if I had known for a second that you would hoard my cups.

So now I'm gone, I'm moving out.
    I'm taking my cups.
You will not hoard them anymore.

    Regards,
    Coco

One day, I do hope to own some La Cruset cookware, having seen them in various stores they are such good quality.

My fantasy kitchen is stocked up with Le Creuset and has a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and a proper oven where I can see through the door... one day...

If you'd be happy with a patchwork Le Creuset set, keep checking out TK Maxx. The have random creuset stuff regularly.

    Also, Kenwood Chef mixer FTW...

I like the 2nd one Susie.

Courier finally arrived, nosy neighbour across the road nearly fell out the window trying to see what was being delievered.

Still no sign of results and now I'm crampy, ughhhh. Would kill for a Chinese right now too, absolutely dying for one. At least now I know why I'm so frustrated about the lack of results and feeling so lonely in general today, stupid period.

Susie, I love the colour of the first one on you but I think my favourite is the second one, they all suit you so well though! :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,850 ✭✭✭FouxDaFaFa

I like the second one, Suzie.

I had a horrible dream last night and I still don't feel right about it.

Glad I took the pics of the dresses but still no idea which one to get - might have to take the advice and get two! Thanks for all the comments - think the blue is the best colour as well, and that dress was super comfortable too. The wedding isn't until early September so plenty of shopping time yet. It'll be my first big event since I'm home so I want to get a really super dress and put my hair up all fancy like :) I will even wear makeup - something for me that only happens a few times a year!
