Trippy dreams. Links and her gf were there and I was checking them in to the military compound I was living on (I was some sort of soldier). Then some sort of enemy appeared and Links was insistent on completing her signing in to the register of visitors in spite of the danger. Me and MrsS were shouting at her to get a move on but she insisted on putting a smiley face after her signature. Eventually she was finished and ran, but the enemy was already in the camp. So I had to tackle the enemy and killed it with my bare hands. I was freakishly strong.

I've never killed anyone in a dream before. I was very blase about it.

Greetings from Dublin! After an extraordinarily long and interesting journey I made it home yesterday. Travel highlights include:

    - An Australian nun marching over to me in Abu Dhabi and practically shouting "You must be Irish... here, have some chocolate", thrusting some coconut chocolate into my hand and then walking off.
    - Waiter in a coffee shop in Delhi airport watching me write a letter and telling me he's never seen handwriting like mine and could I please also write him a letter. I took great pleasure in doing so and signed it with a huge flourish (and a fake name :)).
    - Meeting a wonderful Indian woman named Sujartha in the duty free who showed me photos of her son, then accidently scrolled too far and showed me a naked picture of her husband.

Got completely spoiled yesterday, my entire family came over and fed me, tea-d me, hugged me, gifted me. My 5 year old nephew told me he "missed me more than space... no, wait, what's bigger than space? Because I missed you beyond the size of space" which made me laugh and smile so much I nearly cried. He later pulled me aside and angrily said "listen... no more India, okay?" That little guy is amazing.

Love the new thread title - lovely to writing this from Ireland! :D

Woke up to a PFO from McDonalds this morning. First PFO I've gotten in months, and it's from McDonalds .

This lack of a job nonsense is soul destroying.

Haha, I told a friend of mine about how I'd left my number for Taylor-the-Latte-boy, and they asked me was it that song that had inspired me....

Its a fun Summery song :)

Yay Apple Tea - hoping I can get the same brand in Cork...

I've no idea what that song is about or what the lyrics are - find my attention being drawn elsewhere in that video ...

go for a seat not near the wing so you can look down and see what's below you,the wing would only block our view otherwise : |

I am so excited for you! I would absolutely love to be doing what you're doing! Maybe I'll do a semester abroad next year :)

As for sitting by the wings, I did this coming home either from Lanzarote or Amsterdam last month and it was grand :)

Actually whenever I'm flying, I really dislike sitting near the wings. I always have this fear that I'm going to look out the window and see as the wings break off.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 684 ✭✭✭Polloloca

The only good part about flying is taking off and landing. The last time I was on a plane I was sitting by the wings, and seeing something flap up and down, whilst semi sedated, was too frightening. I spent the entire time terrified the wings were broken waiting for it to snap off.

I always sit by the wing for this reason. If the wings fall off at least I will have some advanced warning we are going to crash!!
