Somewhere around €35,000 if you were to build to grant spec, However you can claim the vat back and write of the costs against the farm accounts which depending on you circumstances can be a big help. You might get it done for less.

Factor in digging out the tank, back filling later.
    Shuttering and steel,
    Concrete,
Steel and galvanise (inc. internal gates)
    Electrical
    Plumbing (minor though)

I built one at grant time and it was over 40k, but you some prices have gone down like concrete , some have gone up like steel.

You can save money going on the cheap with materials, but over 40 years it won't pay!

Saw a 3 bay (each 15 ft 9 ins) recently with 15 cubicles behind 14.5 ft slats. About 12 feet concrete in front of feed rail. Fully closed in with sliding doors across front - except for cubicle part. Mass concrete wall to about 1.8m. Steel galvanised.

    All in €35,000 incl VAT.

thanks for replys lads. lad over the road making his 3 bay hay shed into shed for cattle. concreating the floors blocking up back wall and having a tank at the rear and push the sh*t out the back and it is collected by the tank. seems a good idea, My cousin doing the work gunna have it finished for less then 10000. :O and that includes feeding barriers etc..

Seen that done before, should be fine, Just be ultra careful that the foundations of the hayshed dont collapse when the tank is dug out. I saw this happen and in fairness the contractor he had warned the owner, planned for it and overcame the problem.

You could be down the price of a hay shed and someone get injured if it went pear shaped.
