Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Id feel like a creep looking for someone that looks like an ex!

    Im attracted to tall men with a sense of humour. Other than that i couldnt give a flying fudge what he looks like. I do like them big and broad though. Something really manly and kinky about a man that can pick you up and throw you around the place. Also helps if they are a good bit older, as 'men' my age are so immature.

    Not picky at all am I?

    Kate over Pippa.

    There is definitely something to subconsciously going for people that look like 'the' ex. But maybe that ex is just the quintessential example of your type.

    Maybe it's not your ex but your type that you're pursuing? That seems to be more credible.

    Always wondered about this......not that my Ex's have looked alike (although I will admit a weakness for Ginger's!!) but...they have all been Capricorns...now, I'm talking from my first boyfriend at school, through a few fairly serious relationships, a broken engagement and two marriages!! And before you ask, I am not subconciously looking for them, I do not read my horoscope (I'm a Gemini - my birthday yesterday!!:o) and it would have been well into dating someone before birthdays & 'your sign' came up so other than their personalities I can't see how I would have been influenced!!

    Current OH is a Lifer (He told me that:o) so here endeth the research ;)

    I never believed in the whole "type" thing because never go for a particular look. Then my friend pointed out to me that every fella I've been with has had a really similar personality.... "really irritating and slightly arrogent" she said. So that seems to be my "type" :(

    My last 2 long termers have been adopted!
    Not sure if that counts as a resemblance - physically they couldn't be more different. One was a typicall irish cailín with red hair and freckles 5 foot nothing, the other is tall dark and half egyptian (top half i think!).:D

    nope... i look for women that are not like my ex's.... they are ex's for a good reason
