Took place only an hour ago over Buncrana!

Soo close to touching the ground, i wonder if there was anything visible closer to it on the ground.

Siobhan Ryan said there was unconfirmed reports of a mini tornado.

Thought to myself, 'probably saw it on boards.ie'.

What would happen if someone was under that, would it swoop them up?

Got a few pics of funnels coming out of clouds around 1pm and 2.30pm today. I was working near ramelton which as the crow flies is not to far away from Buncrana. The sky looked angry today and nearly every big shower had the potential to throw out funnels.
I have the pictures in my pictures but how the heck do you get them on here? Im a greenhorn:D

That's the second tornado within 12 months up that area of Donegal, the other one previously in Clonmany.

Guy said this about it today
Poor quality because i was far away and its only the camera phone but when we stopped the funnel was on the ground and you could see small debris at the bottom

Spotted this funnel cloud over Ballygawley Co.Tyrone this evening (5.30pm 12th June) from the Bus on the way home to Letterkenny. Sorry about the quality, but it was taken by mobile phone through the window.

Saw a little twister today in Co Cork at 13:13h.
It was at the following location: http://goo.gl/maps/ujkg

    Google Street View : http://goo.gl/maps/ydxu

It was spinning South East of runway 35 Cork airport. There was actually an Aer Lingus plane just after taking off heading in its direction (flight EI822 I assume) so the pilots would have literally got a birds eye view of it.

Here is a photo I took on a phone while in a car (as a passenger of course). The picture is of poor quality :( and doesn't do it any justice tbh... ah well..

It lasted for approx 5 mins after I first saw it. But the base of the cloud it originated from went very black after it dissipated. I was expecting hail/thunder.. but nothing happened.
