Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interesting side note, the "Ye" in "Ye olde trip to Jerusalem" is actually pronounced "The" as it is not a Y but stems from an old English letter called the Thorn. The only language that still uses the thorn letter is Icelandic which is obviously why Gunni is in the picture. That's right I have merged QI and MMA!

Interesting tweet from "Big" John McCarthy.

"Can't believe Damarques Johnson is fighting on Sept 29th after serious KO on Aug 4. Suspension had to be at least 60 days of no contact" -Big John McCarthy

I'll be at the Fight Club party Friday night, although I don't drink so not sure how long I'll stick around.

Plus I'll be knackered. Driving from Donegal about 3am on Friday morning for the flight.

It was 30 days no contact and 45 before he can fight.

Other bookies have a better price for him than PP. Undercard never have method of victory markets. Paddy power told me they will by the end of the week but I'm not sure.

    Best to look on oddschecker:

    http://www.oddschecker.com/other-sports/mma-ufc

I'm going for Nelson (4/9) and Hardy (1/2) with the double paying 1.66/1

It actually pays better than even money 2.16 I think, throw in Hathaway also

Yes. A 24 euro double will pay 52 euro.

    Boyles have Gunni at 2/5

Cheeky €10 on a treble of Gunni, Sass & Kong Watson returns €56.70

I put 10 on the same but threw in Brad Pickett aswell.

Watson has a good price on him. I think it's strange for Johnson to take the fight on short notice against Gunni. He's 4-5 in the UFC on a 2 fight losing streak. This loss might get him cut. Maybe they might keep him around for 1 more since he's taking it on short notice.

Still no method odds up or OTN odds. I hope we get them tomorrow. If so, Gunni is getting money thrown on him for SOTN

I'd be very surprised if Gunni gets sub of the night, but hopefully it works out for you!

    I like Watson too.
I don't think they'll do a method price on the undercard. They never do. SotN is rare too. I prob all the requests prove be wrong, but its getting late now.

Yeah it would be an outside shot with Struve, Sass and Maguire on the card.

I don't think we'll get the odds up anyway.

Not surprising. Late replacement and the fight was due to take place at a catchweight anyway.

    Although 8lbs is a lot!

Lol don't know what the phone was thinking there.

Bet in nelson, hardy and sass.
A single on each and a treble. Sounds likely on paper. Nice return.

Facebook prelims start at 8, I think.

your probably right but it doesnt give a time on the ufc site for that. i thought espn might be doing the prelims after the last event., maybe just numbered events now.

it says the doors open at 6.45 so i guess it makes sense for a 8pm start.

Took Johnson down early in the first and totally dominated from there. switched between mount and back and finished with the RNC.. Huge performance..
