Today I had a conversation about someone saying they were still a virgin and that they think they'll always be one.

    That's virgin on the ridiculous.

    Really? I think that's a bit patronising.

For me, I can't put an age on when a person being a virgin would be a deal-breaker. The reasons behind it are what's important. If they're a virgin because they think sex is bad or dirty, then it probably wouldn't work for me. If they just wanted to wait for what they thought was the right person, I'd respect that decision.

What happens if they just never got it? no other reason.

I think for a guy it'd start to get weird after 25/26. But it depends on their reason why, like if it's just been lack of opportunity then it'd just make me think there must be some odd reason for it.. If it's cause he doesn't believe in sex before marriage, I guess it's understandable to have principles but that'd make him seem conservative & I don't like conservative people!

I would find a guy over 20 saying he is still a virgin odd ... that could be a gay thing we are easier

    I was 13 :-)

I find that a lot more odd than a guy over 20 being a virgin.... 13?! That's a bit gross...

Well I think we have passed the point where we can do something about it am 31 now, was 13 at the time so therefore it's been nearly 20 years I can't see the Gardai taking me to seriously if I tip in to make a complaint about it now especially since I was willing

I wont hold back this thread is making me feel suicidal.

    It confirms my worst fears.

My maybe my time is up. I have no choice since I'm heading to be 26 without a girlfriend ever.

Looks like I have no hope as I've written off 60%+ of women. I'm a goner basically. My time is up now probably.

Is having sex important to you or do you just think you should be having it because everyone else is or saying they are?

Suicidal? :O I know I'm one of the ones who said 25/26 but it's not THAT bad. I think there's too much emphasis surrounding virginity these days anyway. You're not a goner.. What's your reason? Like are you too shy to try, have tried & didn't work etc? Do you go out much, like bars/clubs? Seem to be a good place for that sorta thing..

Not really. When you cut out the jokes, I've seen more positive responses than negative ones.

That kind of "logic" has no bearing on anyone who hasn't done it.

I know of a girl in her late twenties, stunning and has never been with a guy. Not even been kissed. She gets loads of attention but according to one of thew other girls she is not bothered about it and thinks she is too far gone to lose her virginity now and is resigned to that fact and thus makes no effort with guys.

There is an innocence about her too so I would feel guilty for shagging her evern though she is hitting 30.

I did take a girls virginity once and it didnt go well. She was eager but had no clue what she was doing. In hindsight I think the camera in the corner made her nervous. ;)

Suicides better. Its permanent anyway I wont know any better because I'll be dead which imo is a good thing.

Like I said this thread confirms all my worst fears.

I'll do what I have to do. My life is over I knew it. Theres no point anymore continuing with this immense pain and the failure that is me.

Do I want to die? Nope. Do I feel its inevitable at some point this year? Yep. I'll do it because I have to. I'm a failure to my family and humanity. I'm scared of the pain but it wont last long and if I have to go through with it I will.

I feel incredibly sad reading that. I have had two suicides in my family and I can tell you now I wish they were still here with us.
It's very hard for families to understand the reasons why anyone takes their own lives.
