Shatter is a new Dublin-based Drum & Bass music collective founded in 2012 by veteran Irish DJ’s Mecca, Johnny Mac, Nippoman and Executive Steve. We intend to put our well over 30 years collective experience of gigging, promoting, producing, hustling, buying records, releasing records, handing out flyers in the pissing rain, trolling forums, making videos, pretending loads of people came to our night and losing ****loads of money to very good use in the weeks, months and years ahead.

Shatter will be a home for uncompromising breakbeat-focused electronic music and a showcase for the finest in Irish and International talent. We will be pushing a harder-edged sound that focuses on sampled breakbeats, dark atmospheres and all out sci-fi rave mayhem.

You are cordially invited to attend our inaugural party in the Twisted Pepper on the 15th of June 2012.

    The lineup:

Mecca (Shatter, Subtle Audio, Absys) – Mecca is an Irish based DJ and Producer who has been making quiet waves across the DnB world thanks to his innovative productions that build on the original 90’s Blueprint of break-driven atmospheric bass music with a modern technical edge. First coming to prominence with the vinyl release of “Virtual Affair” on Subtle Audio he has been busy in the studio cooking up new collaborations with Ricky Force that are already getting support from a range of DJ’s around the world.

Johnny Mac (Shatter, DNBRadio.com) – Johnny Mac is a Kildare based DJ who for several years has been holding a weekly slot down on DNBRadio.com. A veteran promoter too, he ran the legendary Ghetto Blaster nights in the former Temple Bar Music centre as well as the Urbanvibes.com forum. Johnny Mac is a DJ of some repute and his trademark hard hitting technical style is perfectly suited to his energetic techy selections.

Executive Steve (Shatter, Raidio Na Life) – Executive Steve hates writing stuff about himself because he never knows if anyone who doesn’t know him will get any of the jokes or not. Either way, if you’re into DnB and you live in Ireland you’ve probably seen him loads, and if you've ever heard any DnB on your radio by accident while you're trying to find the Adrian Kennedy Phone show you've definitely heard him loads too. He’s on first anyway so you’ll probably just sit around in your gaff drinking cans till midnight and miss him and then complain that Irish clubs close too early. Ah well.

Dubstep fanatics should note that DJ Madd and Swindle will be performing elsewhere in the venue on the night.
