Laptop icons opening in IrfanView

Do not know what I have done but all my desktop programs icons have been taken over by IrfanView and also when I go into start menu they start up there as well. I have tried to look for the file where that file is so I can delete it but cannot see it anywhere. I have tried to change the icons but that does not work either.…
