Fetac level 5-leaving cert equivalent

Can someone explain to me how you can get a leaving cert equivalent with fetac level 5 courses? I've been reading up on it but cant seem to get it :rolleyes: How many courses, or is there a certain combination in a certain subject needed, before you can get your "equivalent" and move on to level 6? Thanks :)

Some FETAC Level 5 courses (PLCs) are designed as preparation for certain college courses and some colleges reserve places on those courses for people who have got a number of distinctions on their FETAC Level 5 course, regardless of their Leaving Results.

Not all FETAC Level 5s can be used for college pregression and not all college courses have a FETAC entry option.
