I hope this isn't deemed to be seeking legal advice, because I already have someone getting me legal advice. :)

I'm just wondering on average, how long does it take for cases to be heard in the Labour Courts? I'm sending in forms for a constructive dismissal case (which a solicitor tells me is a clear cut, easy case due to the evidence I have), and I'm wondering how long it takes to proceed? I've been told 6 months by some people, 2 years by others.

Do any of you know how long it takes? If you've had a case thorugh the Labour Courts (technically the rights commissioner, as that is the particular field I'm going through), how long did it take from start to finish?

I hope this thread isn't too advice-seeking! Thanks in advance.

I believe the Employment Appeals Tribunal has a waiting list of somewhere between 12-18 months at the moment.
