McCormick CX95

Hi, does anybody have either a McCormick CX95 or a CX105?
    Any comments on reliability?
Was in the north there last week, to look at Case 4230 or 4240 to buy!
Saw a few 97 / 98 in very good condition and reasonable price. At the same time, a good few McCormicks there, up to 2004 for not much more money?
I guess there are a good few similarities between the two models, but the McCormick's I saw, seemed to offer better value. Low hours, very good condition, up to five years younger, averaging maybe 3/4 grand more!

Is there a compelling reason to steer clear compared to a 4230 for example?

My neighbour had one. cx 105, bought new in 2005, he traded it last year for a mc 115. he mostly used it for front loader work and agitating, he does slurry contracting. the only problems i can remember him having are he had a few issues with the electronic pto controls and with the fuel pump and he wouldn't be very easy on machinery to say the least... ;) traded it cos it was a beast on fuel when agitating...

Check previous posts here (Boards - farming) on the Case 4230 & 4240. Some bad things written about them......;).
"They're cheap for a reason" was one quote, I remember.

Ya. But you know some lads just can't see beyond a Deere or a Fergie or whatever. That might be ok if you are a heavy user I guess. Full time farming and horsing every day.
I suppose if you are a part timer, with maybe 400 hours work per year a lighter tractor might just be fine. I dunno, it gets confusing if you think too much about it!!!
