If you fail the repeat in August do you still get the grant?

    If you were to fail an exam in the repeats in august would you still recieve a grant?

    It depends. If you've only failed a max of two exams, you may be given the opportunity to carry the subject(s) over to the next year, and repeat them again during your normal exam schedule. I think there's something about how many credits each subject is worth. You should be able to get that info when the repeat results are out. As far as I know, if you do this, your grant is safe.

    If you can't carry subjects, or you fail the resits again next year, then you must repeat the whole year, and you will not be able to get the grant for that year.

    AFAIK, you can. BUT If it's an award year you can't carry subjects, so you fail the year and don't qualify for a maintenance grant. It depends on what stage of the course you're at.
