Anyone have any suggestions for a suitable pair of gloves for a gaelic football goalkeeper? I used to wear normal gaa gloves but found lately that soccer gloves are nearly better. I used selsport gloves lately and found them pretty good.

You'd need soccer gloves alright, sure the Gaelic gloves weren't designed to take much impact from a ball at ya.

Best gloves to get would be the fingersave by Adidas, you can avoid any silly injuries from your fingers being bent back from impact

I've wore the adidas fingersave, found them very good. Ulsport do a similiar thing, not sure of the name of it. http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/goalkeeper-gloves.aspx has a wide range of gloves

A goalkeeper in gaelic will have the same requirements of a glove that a goalkeeper in soccer will have. Therefore it is totally appropriate to use what you refer to as 'soccer gloves'.

Goalkeeper gloves have developed rapidly since the mid seventies when Sepp Maier used to wear huge gloves. The amount of styles of gloves and the number of manufacturers is startling. Technological advances in the materials used has seen gloves adapted to offer greater grip (in different types of conditions and on different surfaces), durability, comfort, finger, hand and wrist protection, and shock absorption.

The cost of gloves ranges from anything from £10 - £120 for a pair, and like everything, the more you pay the better the quality. Given the cost, it is fair to say that all leading brands offer a high level of quality products. My own personal favourites were uhlsport, not least because they were worn by Pat Jennings, Neville Southall and Erik Thorstvedt - all players I loved watching.

There are though good bargains to be had - someone has mentioned already pro direct soccer, and just keepers also has some good bargains.
