Can anyone help with answers for that section?

Yeh no problem. I'm confident I got close to full marks in physics. What qs do u hav

for the question on the ldr i drew a circuit with a ldr battery and led is that ok?

U need a light, not an led. By accident I drew the light outside the circuit. u need to draw the light from 2 different distances

That was a very odd paper indeed. It was harder than other years, definitely. I don't know why people were going around saying that was easy. Whenever I asked them, "did you get the carbon dioxide one?" or "did you get that train tracks one?" guess what? "No, I didn't get that one..." Some questions were quite strange, but it was generally not too bad. I usually find science easy, but that was a funny paper...

Did anyone draw a circuit with just an LDR and an ohmmeter for the LDR diagram?

I can't remember any of them. If she has any specific I cud answer. Not to sound like a prik but this is sort of pointless since she can't change what she has done. If for example she gets a lot of them wrong she cud feel bad throughout the summer thinkin she might do bad. Well any particular qs????

Hi sorry but I'm a tad unsure of a few things! I'd appreciate anybody's help :)

There was one question about carbon dioxide burning or something does anyone remember the answer?

Also what kind of joint was that in the biology section?
Also when does the paper go up online :)

Yes I did and I did it because I saw it in my revise wise I don't know why everyone else's is so complicated :)

:pac:haha I put down earthquake :o as it would shake the ground and the trackes would not be straight

  • Registered Users Posts: 278 ✭✭yoyojc

Oh right that one..yeah it was CO2 and Water vapour

No I don't think it was it was h2o and co2 because a hydrocarbon burns to produce water and carbon dioxide? Are we on the same question :) can someone verify this?

    was that the graph question?
i remember something about how it was evaporatingwas the train tracks question rust?
i found that question really stupid tbh.

Nope a separate question and yeah everyone is saying Heat on this but it was rust or corrosion or something everyone said it in my school and my teacher clarified it?

Also said rusting, but the one about expanding makes sense so id imagine theyd accept both imo

yeah, like the picture would of had to of been a bit more detailed for it to be heat imo.
and enviromental factor suggests rust = water + oxygen.

The one about the straws amd the question About alloys thanks

This was probably a dumb thing to put, but I said that the cause was acid rain and it corrodes the train tracks..Will I get any marks?

    Urethra : Excretion?
    b - in : carbon dioxide out : oxygen
c - diagram : plant in light with one leaf covered in tinfoil.
explanation : leave a plant in light and cover one leaf with alumium and tinfoil. after 3 days take the leaf covered in tinfoil and a sample leaf from the plant. add a drop of iodine to both. the leaf that was uncovered changes colour with the iodine. the covered leaf turns blue black as no starch is there.

    Question 3:
    a - Self Dispersal
****ed up the plant thing completely.
    Think i said the anther.
    Ovary.
    Dispersal?

b - do not run in the lab as you may knock over acids and harm yourself
always wear goggles and lab coats when doing experiments
c - zinc + hydrochloric acid (could of said hydrogen peroxide, cant remember) => zincchloride and water

    Question 7
a - the heating of something until it changes into a gas.

Sorry - how dodgy a paper was that?

A full 18 mark question (wouldja be well)

And some question were a lot of guesswork...like they were coming at a load of the topics from a different angle than other years

I put down rust, but I'd say it was expansion because of it being in physics!😊
