Kid friendly attractions in Kenmare

Hi all, my sister is renting a house in Kenmare for a week in August. It will be herself and her husband and three young kids (4,3 and 3 months!) She is looking for some kid friendly attractions for both sunny (hopefully) and rainy days. Is there a nice beach nearby? I think the beach in Kenmare is stony, so just wondering how far the nearest sandy beach is? What about a swimming pool or monkey maze type attraction, where would the closest be? Basically she is just looking for any ideas to keep the little ones amused for the week. Thanks in advance.

Well you have the pool in the kenmare bay, they pay as you go. the nearest beach is about half an hour to forty five mins drive to the white strand or Carrolls cove. there is a kids activity center in killarney about 40mins away
