Hopefully it won't be another ten years before we qualify for a major tournament again.

If we can't beat them, can someone at least break Busquets leg?

Great opportunity wasted by the three of them.

Sometimes you just have to hold up your hands and recognise that we're coming second best to one of the best football teams ever to play together.

True we are playing the best and when you do play the best surely the one thing you dont want is for them to see so much of the ball. God almighty we are playing with zero ambition. Surely to god we'd have a few chances let alone cross the half way line?

What is the point of Aidan McGeady?
Yeah because McGeady has totally been anywhere near our worst player in Poland. But of course, go back to the usual scapegoats.

Yes, that's it, pass it to the Spanish...

would it not be better go actually go to a tournament with a hope of doing something instead of being there to make up the numbers though?

FFS Andrews, use you bloody left foot.

Its a honour to be on the same pitch as Spain. Truly fantastic team.

On a side note, Keane is clearly well passed it at this level. Long should be on the pitch.

He is a weapon of mass confusion. :D

The only thing confusing about him is that it looks like he is running 50 miles an hour but he is really going 5.

Shame, it looks like were not even going to get any moral victories in this tournament.

Was he EVER any good at it?

I reckon he'd find it hard to keep the ball even if he got a hat-trick!

I've never understood the Keane bashing...we have a lot more problems than Robbie Keane struggling up front on his own.

Shocking that you wish an injury on any player, let alone an Irish one

    Hardly like we haven't tried.
How many Irish players play for Champions League teams?

We were never likely to get out of a group that had 3 teams ranked well ahead of us.
    We've had no luck either

Exactly i mean he didnt get a ball all game and being our top scorer of all time is probably being marked

Maybe. I think the players are giving their all. I sometimes wonder how bothered he is either way.

Other than the goal, Torres has been shíte. (He'll probably complete his hat trick now)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,490 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    What a sh1t floated ball.

Did McClean catch Trap **** in the toilet or something? The lift he'd give the crowd alone is reason enough to bring him on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,533 ✭✭✭Colonialboy

I think the whole squads been infected with McShane'itis ... should never have had him in the squad. No one could consider Trap was taking it seriously with some of the rubbish in the whole squad selection
